Now, welcome to part 4:
As stated before, prosperity is an energy that can be channeled or directly attracted or repelled. If you feel prosperous, and you are thankful for what you have including the small items – you are attracting more prosperity. So the question is how much prosperity are you allowing in?
Many people grow up with scarcity training. ‘“Money doesn’t grow on trees”’ is a famous line. I heard this as well as ‘“that’s too expensive”’ and ‘“we don’t have the money”’ constantly. I also heard ‘“look at how hard your poor father is working, you should be grateful.”’ The one that stung the worst was when I was asked to make out my Christmas list, and I was told that I was being greedy and selfish.
Needless to say, I was programmed with the thoughts that very hard work was necessary for money and there’s never enough money. I also grew up with the teaching that if you bought something new before the old one broke, you were wasting money, especially for new appliances and cars.
Another main critical issue is that it is only ok to study something that is going to be lucrative. It did not matter if another field of study was fun and exciting. The questions were: ‘“What are you going to do with that?”’ and ‘“Can you make any money with that?”’
Now, I know that I was not the only one who grew up like this. I, like a huge percentage of the population, grew up with similar ideals and training as well.
The question that remains today is “What are we going to do about it?” and “How can we change our subconscious programming concerning money.”
How much are we allowing in? I believed that I would be taken care of by God and thanked God over and over again for taking care of me. I was provided a roof over my head, furniture, food, a car to drive and an education that taught me to think for myself.
I believe that all of these things are necessities. What else may I include on the list as necessities; how, about the opportunity to explore life and splash up my clothing, car and home with elements of myself and beauty? If these extra things are viewed as necessities in life, and you have the belief that God will provide for you, then yes, you will have these things.
It’s not so much that God will give to you whatever you ask, as it is that God will bestow upon you whatever you believe that He/She will. So, how much are your beliefs allowing God to bless you or not?
Life is not meant to be a tedious monotony of chores to barely be able to make ends meet. It’s an opportunity for Spirit to play and experience in a physical form. Spirit wants to know itself and experience itself as the Creator that It is, so that is why we are here.
We are God’s body in physical form. Each of us is a different aspect or an individual part of God endowed with gifts and talent. If we are all a part of God, then how can God not give to Him or Her Self whatever is requested? Would God deny Him/Her Self?
God gives whatever is asked and answers every prayer with a yes. If the subconscious believes that scarcity is what is needed and proper then God says yes to that scarcity and so we go without. If the subconscious believes yes to an abundant life style, then God says yes to that abundant life style. There is a requirement however, but it is not painful or requires sacrificing in any way. It does require getting to know what you truly desire.
If a new cell phone is on your list of things to purchase, examine the reason behind the desire. Is it because everyone else who is anyone has that cell phone, or is it because that cell phone would seem like fun or maybe make your life a bit easier? If the answer is because everyone has one, and you want to look cool with that new gadget then more than likely not a true heart’s desire.
However, if it is a new gadget that seems like fun and you truly want one or if you could truly envision yourself able to accomplish your work more smoothly then by all means this phone is for you. Do you believe that? Really?
If you can taste it, feel it, and know that it would be great to have whatever the item is because you desire it from the bottom of your heart then yes, it will find a legitimate way to you. Who knows, it might even go on sale – what a concept. Who knows what could happen, perhaps a gift from a friend might come your way. The point is that you have to know what you really want and what is just for show? God cares nothing about show, but if something is a heart’s desire then yes, the answer is always yes.
Thank you again for reading, and as always, take in what you can and leave the rest. I promise I won’t be offended.
